Basic Information:

omeprazole, sold under the brand names prilosec and losec among others, is a medication used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, and zollinger–ellison syndrome. it is also used to prevent upper gastrointestinal bleeding in people who are at high risk.

     solubility: soluble in two methyl formamide, soluble in methanol, insoluble in water

    stability: unstable in aqueous solution and unstable to strong acid. keep in low temperature and  avoid light

Uses:

Omeprazole is used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd) and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid. it is also used to promote healing of erosive esophagitis (damage to your esophagus caused by stomach acid).
